Mr.Nafi Ervaron after leaving his actual profession, he made Ilyasoglu the world’s largest exporter of evil eyes; today the company revenues reach 4 million dollars.

The smallest evil eye:
The world’s smallest and largest evil eyes are manufactured in more than 100 workshops attached to Ilyasoglu. The manufacturers, after being able to make the world’s smallest evil eye with 1 millimeters, again in the same workshops; they were able to create the world’s largest eye with 40 centimeters.

Nafi Ervaron was known about 20 years ago when he was working as a parliamentary in Switzerland at UN at the “aid for the developing countries”. After he was appointed to Uganda, he left his occupation and returned to Turkey in 1984. After working in different companies and gaining experience in the marketplace, the road was wide open for this man: The “emperor of evil eyes”.

After his several jobs at different sectors, Mr.Nafi Ervaron came to work with his elder brother Sami Ervaron who established Ilyasoglu Co. about 35 years ago. After that, by speaking English, French and Spanish as his native language he became the Export Manager of the company. Firstly, he took control of the domestic gift market and later by support of his friends at United Nations, he began to export to Greek and Israeli Markets. This was the beginning of an adventurous evil eye story.

Export to 62 Countries
Now, Ilyasoglu became a large empire which exports to 62 countries. The journey which began with a 3000 USD capital about 35 years ago, now reaches 4 million dollars of revenue. There are over than 100 workshops mainly in Istanbul and Izmir which produces over than 3000 models for Ilyasoglu.

Glasses are not sufficient…
Nafi Ervaron told us that in the past all the evil eyes would made by glass, however nowadays they are manufactured from plastic, acrylic and also polyester; that’s because
they are unable to find enough glass.
